Title: A high Tibetan altar cabinet with fantastic Buddhist design on a bright red background

Description: A late 19th century Tibetan cabinet with three sets of doors and storage space. The cabinet features a protruding rim with floral painting and a fantastic Tibetan Buddhist design against a bright red background, lined by ornamental designs. The doors on top include deer around dharma wheels and jewel-disgorging mongoose. The doors in the bottom include two tigers around a scull cup. The central doors feature elephant, tiger, snow lion and human hides with parts of the flesh exposed, flying garuda figures (bird-man hybrids) and birds with snakes and eyeballs in their mouths, two monumental scull-cups filled with organs, as well as numerous hares, oxen, tigers and horses. Dark flame reliefs throughout the cabinet add a three-dimensional appearance to the painting.

Condition: Excellent condition of artwork and cabinet.
