Title: A finely carved Tibetan altar table and cabinet with animal and floral painting
Description: An early 20th century Tibetan altar table and cabinet. The piece features golden, red, green and blue colored paintings on a bright red background, as well as a beautifully carved rim and headboard. The Snow Lion, a Tibetan mythical celestial creature, is depicted on each side of the cabinet as white with a turquoise mane. The headboard features white and turquoise Snow Lions with a radiant vermilion mane holding a lotus pedestal for the three jewels of Buddhism surrounded by golden flames. Other paintings include floral ornamental designs and, in the front of the cabinet, two black circles with eight birds encircling a hexagram.
Condition: The altar table and painting are almost fully intact with only slight signs of wear.
